About us
Connecting people with the farmers who feed them
Farmsy is a free map of local farms, roadside stands, and direct-to-consumer food producers in the Netherlands and Belgium.

Making local food discoverable
The modern food system has created a gap between our plates and the people who grow our food. At Farmsy, we believe that transparency is the first step toward a more sustainable future. Our mission is to bridge this gap by making local food discoverable for everyone. We map every farm shop, pick-your-own field, roadside egg stand, and artisan producer we can find — and make that information freely available to anyone seeking a deeper connection to their food source.
We focus our efforts on the Netherlands and Belgium, regions with an incredible heritage of small-scale agriculture and direct-to-consumer sales. By consolidating data from multiple verified sources, we provide a comprehensive directory that celebrates the diversity of local producers, from large-scale organic dairies to small family-run orchards.
We are committed to supporting the farming community directly. With a Farmsy Premium subscription, producers can claim their business and manage their own story — updating seasonal products, opening hours, and contact details — ensuring that when consumers find you, they have the most accurate and up-to-date information possible.
What we stand for
Our values
Local first
We believe fresh food tastes better and is better for the planet when it travels fewer kilometres from field to fork.
Open data
Our core dataset is built on OpenStreetMap — a community-driven, open geographic database anyone can contribute to.
Farmer-owned
Farmers can subscribe to claim their listing and keep their own information accurate — hours, contact details, and more.
Transparent sources
We clearly attribute every data source — OpenStreetMap, Foursquare, Overture Maps, and Traces — on every listing where it applies.
